Unseen Member | FTP Broken?
I bought a brand new laptop on Sunday, and downloaded Source Edit last night. For some reason, the FTP part won't let me open or save JavaScript files to my server. I can open any other type of file type, except for JavaScript. I haven't used Source Edit for quite a while, since I haven't been working on my site. But I plan on working on it quite a bit now, thus the reason for re-downloading it.
I love Source Edit, and can't picture myself coding without it. Hopefully some of you can help me out with this problem. I tried looking up solutions on Google, no luck. I've even browsed through these forums in hopes that somebody else has had this problem, no luck there either.
I am running on Windows 7 32-bit if that helps. Here is a picture of the error I get when I try to save my JavaScript file (was trying to save it to my server in: public_html/files/layout/includes/action_bar.js):

Right click on the Source Edit icon and select "Run as Administrator". | | 11/26/2009 11:01:45 PM | Quote Edit/Delete | Unseen Member | Ahhh, alright. I should have figured that would work, no idea why I haven't tried it yet. >_< Thanks a ton! | | 11/27/2009 12:05:47 AM | Quote Edit/Delete | Jeep Member | Win 7.
Hi Joacim. Thanks for a great tool and for keeping it going. I have used Source Edit for some time on XP and just moved my system to Win 7 (skipped vista ) After firing up Source Edit on Win 7 and trying to open my project file I thought I was going to be looking for a new editor. When I did not see an updated version I was going to the contact page to see if anything was in the works... All this to say that setting to run as admin has fixed my problem and it might be an idea to post such a note on the downlaod screen. Hopefully I will always be an admin when I need Source Edit! Thanks again.
